Big Girl Potty

In Logann news, Grandma Trude bought her a big girl potty yesterday.  She knows the sign for potty and ran to the bathroom saying, "potty, potty!"  So, I sat her on our toilet, but it wasn't too comfy and she said, "ouch, ouch!"  I took her off, but she wanted right back on, only to say that it hurt again:(.  Grandma Trude came to the rescue with this new potty, which she LOVES.  After her bath I couldn't get her off of it.  Then, during story time she ran to the side of her play room yelling, "potty, potty!"  So, I figured I'd let her give it one more try before bedtime.  She sat right down and peed!!!  Can you believe this?!  Our baby is growing up!!!

In Lorann news, she has decided to stay in my tummy for as long as possible;)  Everyone, including my doctor, thinks that today, Cinco de Mayo, is the perfect day for her to come...I'm not quite sure if anyone has told Lorann this;).  I'm feeling better and ready for her to come whenever her little heart desires!

39 Weeks

 

Lorann is now a little over 7 pounds and 20 inches long:)  Momma is VERY tired and can't wait to get over this cold/flu ASAP, so that she can come!!  I never dreamed that I'd have to worry about being sick when I go into labor...just adds to the excitement, I guess.

New Barbie Quad

Our friends just gave us a little Barbie quad for Logann.  She's a natural:)

On a side note, I'm still pregnant;)  Hangin' in there...I seemed to have caught a cold from all the girls.  I'm now hoping to get over this cold before Lorann decides to come!!

14 Hours of Sleep!

This is what 14 hours of sleep looks like!!!  Logann was pooped yesterday, to say the least.  She went down (for what I thought was) a nap and 4:30...well, she didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning!

 

On a side note, our friend Casey, gave us a bunch of hand-me-downs.  Included in the bag was this adorable robe;)

On another side note...I may be in labor!  I'm feeling crampy, but I just don't know yet what is going on!!  Keep you posted...if possible.

38 Weeks

Lorann is now about 6.8 pounds and 19.5 inches long:)  She's physically ready to come out at any time.

It's so strange that one minute she's happy on the inside and the next she's making her way out!!  Logann was 5 days early, so we're thinking that Lorann could be arriving any second.  Our bags are packed and all our arrangements are made. 

We are eagerly awaiting her arrival, although we are taking advantage of every night of sleep that we get and every moment we get to spend with Logann.  It's so different with the second baby, you know (at least for the most part) what is in store.  Here are my prayers:

Please let Lorann be healthy and happy

Please let Logann be comfortable with her new role

Please let this delivery be a little bit easier

Please let breastfeeding go well

And finally, PLEASE help Momma to not be too crazy with hormone overload:(

One Last Belly Shot

My due date is quickly approaching.  I figured I better post one last belly shot before it's too late;)

Happy Easter!

Today, Logann woke up with a fever:(  Needless to say, we missed Easter brunch with all of her cousins.  By dinner time though (with Tylenol on board), she was up for the trip to G'pa Craig and G'ma Peggy's.  How cute is she in this hat?! 

37 Weeks

Lorann is now as long as a stalk of swiss chard...19 inches and 6 1/3 pounds:)  We are in the clear now...37 weeks is considered full-term!!!

We had an interesting night on Sunday...I was very sick:(  Threw up several times.  Good news is: I'm fine and not sick anymore!  My doctor is on vacation and I promised her no action until she gets back- I'm hoping to keep that promise;)

In other news, Logann and I have been staying very busy.  We're maximizing our time off together.  Today, she went to the Folsom Zoo with G'pa Craig and G'ma Peggy.  Momma got a prenatal massage, took a nap, and cleaned the house!  We are really enjoying our time together, but I want to make sure that she has regular outings, so that my return to work won't be too traumatizing!!!  I'm not sure who is going to be more traumatized...her or me;(

As for the rest of the week, tomorrow we have a playdate with Rebekah and Lili.  Thursday, we have another momma playdate with Shea, Drew, and Sami.  Afterward, we're having dinner with Nana.  Friday, Daddy is off.  We're planning on visiting the baby goats down the street.  Needless to say, we're staying busy;)

Also, Doug and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary this Friday.  Isn't strange how time can go by so quickly, but life seems to have been so full at the same time?!  Anyway, "Happy Anniversary" to us;)!!  We're going to go on a date, dinner and a movie.  I'm VERY excited.

36 Weeks

Lorann is now 6 pounds and 18.5 inches!!  Can you believe how big she is getting?!  One more week and she is considered full term:)

Logann's New Big Sister Play Yard

On Saturday afternoon, Logann stayed with G'pa Craig and G'ma Peggy while Doug and I bought and assembled her new play yard.  She seems to love it and there are lots of "wees" in her play yard vocabulary;).  Hopefully, she will be entertained by this for awhile...like 10 years or so;)

These girls just melt my heart!!  They had a great time playing, having lunch, and then running around the park.

35 Weeks and On Maternity Leave

Lorann is weighing in at 5 1/4 lbs and is now 18 inches long!!  And I'm on maternity leave:)  I tried to stick it out as long as I could, but being gone for 15 hours and on my feet all day took its toll on me.  Now, I'm home enjoying some serious bonding time with my little busy bee, Logann.  I'm very happy to be able to have this time with her;)

16 Month Pictures

So, at Christmas we had our cards done at JC Penney and they gave us a $50 gift card to be used by 3/31.  The Christmas pictures weren't fabulous, so we figured it would be nice to use the gift card to take some extras right before Lorann is born.  They're definitely not as creative and fabulous as Lisa's...but for free, not too shabby.  It helps that Logann is so darn cute;)

 We had a great time at the zoo on Saturday!  The weather was perfect.  Logann had a blast seeing the animals and hanging out with her cousins.  We'll be going back very soon!
