Thursday with Auntie and Uncle

Today Makena met the goats. She loved them and can even tell you what they say. She's so smart and learns new things very quickly! Also, she spent some quality time with the ever-so-patient Tucker. Last, but not least, she showed Auntie how big girls walk all by themselves! Oh, I think she may already have a thing for purses:)

We had such a great time relaxing that we hardly took any pictures except of the wild bunnies. We had great food, fabulous weather, a beauiful hotel, and we spent some quality time with Craig, Peggy, and Scott...who could ask for more!

Grandpa Pat's Birthday

And After

After a few long months, a broken hand, and a million laborious hours of hard work by Doug, the renovation/new addition is DONE!! We couldn't be happier with how it turned out and can't wait for everyone to come over and see it!

March Birthday Party

Well, this party started off with a bang! Val and I showed up in the same sweater...good thing it looked cute on both of us:) Makena was, of course, the hit of the party. Everyone was vying for her attention. She took a special liking to Dorian. She showed us how she can hammer her blocks with Val and Chasin. She took a moment to get her picture taken with Bethany. Bethany and Tim shared a good laugh. Curtis and Tim enjoyed the appetizers. And all the girls posed for one last photo before the night was over. Happy Birthday, March babies!

Thursdays with Auntie

As you can see, Makena has many talents. She plays the drums, she rides her pony while talking on the phone, she's learning how to drive, and she's thinking about becoming a plumber;). They don't get any cuter than this!

The Big Bash

Makena had a blast at her big party and it was so nice to see everyone together on a nice sunny day. She looked so beautiful in her party dress and enjoyed showing everyone that she is one.

Makena turns 1!

So, today our little Makena turns 1 year old! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday we were rushing to the hospital for her birth. Now, she's nearly walking and talking. She has become the light of our lives, such an amazing little girl! Happy Birthday, Makena. We love you.

Delicious Plum Cake

We had a bunch of plums that we weren't eating, so I thought I'd make a cake I'd seen my grandma make. It's a German Plum Cake. I perfected it by the second one because the first one was gone in a second! As you can see, the second one isn't lasting long either.
